A friend's daughter, Susan, was house and cat sitting. It's something she enjoys and which gives her an additional income. She was concerned for the cat as the cat was filthy, smelled, looked ragged and thin.

The cat was in his middle years, so the purging phase before the beginning of his new diet was a bit longer than what an older cat might experience.

It's worth every moment of the resentment your cat treats you with in the early days, while they acclimatise to eating raw cat food. They might stare at you with a sour face and refuse to eat or paw it as if they want to put it in a jar, turn their back at you, the works.
